'PAUSE'

Here's a Poem about Cyber bullying entitled "PAUSE"

I look online
At this virtual war
We all live in today.

And I find a hidden war
That never seems to end.

Cruel words hidden as bombs
Barbaric comments hidden as guns.

As I walk through this torn battlefield
I find not a single page
With peace instead of war.

People seem to become so mean
They mocked,belittled,slandered
Just because it isn't face to face
People turn into Monsters
Monsters that bite.

Its like people seem to think
Their words have no impact
Their message is just a joke
But this virtual war
Is killing people inside
And this war on the internet
Is more real than before.

Pause...I want you to pause ...
Pause....please pause.....

A teardrop runs down her face
Slide past her cheekbone
Slowly it drops off her chin
And she has never felt so alone.

What do they do?
What do they say?
To make her feel horrible
In words she cannot say.

Is it the messages?
Or the texts she gets?
That make her have
So many regrets
They made her feel awful
And Horrible Inside

She hates herself
More than anything alive.

There are crying people
Bullied people
Who watch these bullets
That people have sent
And decided that maybe that life isn't worth living anymore.

Pause...seriously, pause

Some people think
That words on a screen
Doesn't mean as much
So they have the right t be mean.

Those people don't know
How much it hurts
To be receiving
Those hateful words

They don't understand
The power they hold
With each letter they type
With each word they made bold.

They don't think a bit
About what might come
When that message receiver
Decides to succumb.

They don't foresee
The dreaded result
Of a person attack
By an online cult.

The World Wide Web
Was not created
For the ignorant to attack
And the innocent hated.

With every ''Like'' button pressed
And comment sent
You give people a taste
Of who you represent

Pause...Pause...I want you to pause

There are wounded people
Wanting for just some love
Only to find hate and anger
Written wherever  they go
In this internet world today.

This war maybe virtual
But it's real and alive
Even as we speak.

Some people may wonder why
Teens are becoming so depressed.
Thanks to all the social networking
And the phones take advantage of.

Bear in mind
And think about this
The next time you send
A message so mean.

So next time you're online
And want to act like a fool
Just keep in mind
That cyber bullying is not cool.

Now don't pause....please stop.
Full stop !

Lots Of πŸ’–
